May 12th 2012 Is the School Environment Safe?

The staff conducts monthly safety inspections that are reviewed by the Safety Committee for potential concerns and correction. A monthly fire drill is also staged, and students are timed on their safe exit from the school building.

The school has one or more inspections each year from outside sources as well. All areas of the school plant including playground, classroom and multipurpose areas are evaluated for potential hazards and liability issues. May 12th 2012 Quality of School Instruction and Leadership

Once again, in 2002-2003 Mineral School contracts for Administrative Consulting services with Mr. Harold Vietti. Mr. Vietti very ably advises the District regarding such instructional matters as teacher supervision/evaluation; curriculum/program consultation; parent/teacher liaison and designee for collective bargaining. Mrs. Lopez serves as Site Administrator for day-to-day management of business, budget and other non-instructional operations

Several parent and community volunteers help in the classroom on a regular basis, and the school has initiated a program to encourage community involvement as well. Community volunteers also serve in the following areas: Library, Adopt-A-”Project(s)”, Sports/Ski Program, Snack/Treat Provider, Field Trips, Classroom Presentations/Helpers. Each year
